What happens to my deposit if the studio cancels?

A deposit exists to protect the studio against a client who does not turn up. When the studio is the one who cancels, that reason is gone, and most will either move the deposit to a new date or return it. That is the normal, professional answer, and it is worth asking for plainly.

It is still their money to return, though, not ours. Friday Scheduling never held the deposit — it went from you to the studio — so the studio is who you ask, and the request goes through the message thread on that booking so there is a written record on both sides.

Ask for one of the two outcomes specifically: carry it to a new appointment, or return it. A vague message gets a vague answer, and a deposit sitting in limbo helps nobody.

If the studio stops responding entirely, the message thread is your evidence and your card issuer is your route. Report the studio to us as well. We cannot move money we never held, but a studio keeping deposits after cancelling is something we act on, and it stops the same thing happening to somebody else.

Did this answer it?

If not, contact support. A question this help centre could not answer is usually a missing article rather than a difficult question, and it gets written.
