Getting started

  • What is Friday Scheduling?A place to find independent beauty professionals and book with them directly.
  • How do I create an account? What an account gives you, and how to make one.
  • How do I find a professional?Searching by service, name or place, and what the badges on a card mean.
  • Accessibility: using Friday Scheduling with a screen readerHow the app is built for assistive technology, and how to tell us when it falls short.
  • Who to contact for whatMost questions are for the studio. Some are for us. Here is the split.
  • What "independent studio" means on this platformEvery professional here runs their own business. We are the software, not the salon.

Payments, deposits and refunds

  • How does paying work? You pay the professional, not Friday Scheduling. Here is what that means for you.
  • Why was I asked for a deposit? What a deposit is for, who sets it, and what happens to it.
  • How do I cancel or reschedule?Where to do it, and why timing changes what it costs you.
  • How do I get a refund?Ask the studio. They hold the money and set the policy. What to do if that stalls.
  • What happens if I miss my appointment?No-shows, late cancellations, and how studios handle them.
  • Does Friday Scheduling charge me a booking fee?No. What you pay is what the studio charges.
  • Gift cards, packages and membershipsWhat they are, and that each one belongs to the studio that sold it.
  • My card was declinedThe usual causes, in the order worth checking.
  • What is the small charge I do not recognize on my statement? Why a charge may show up under a name you have never heard of.
  • Can I pay part now and the rest at the appointment?Deposits do exactly this, wherever a studio uses them.
  • What happens to my deposit if the studio cancels?Ask the studio, and know what a reasonable answer looks like.
  • The studio charged me a different price than the booking page showedThe ordinary explanations, and what to do when none of them apply.
  • Can I get a receipt or an invoice?Your appointment record is not a receipt. The studio issues those.
  • Do prices include tax?The studio decides, and local rules decide for them.
  • Buy now, pay later: is it available? Not from us. Occasionally from the studio.
  • What happens if a studio closes or leaves the platform?Your upcoming appointments, your history, and any money you paid ahead.

Appointments

  • How do I book an appointment?Booking with or without an account, and what happens next.
  • What if there are no times available?Requesting an appointment when the calendar looks full.
  • How do I leave a review?Who can review, when, and what happens to it.
  • Messaging a professionalOne thread per studio, and what it is good for.
  • Booking for somebody elseBook it under their name, and say so in the notes.
  • Bringing a child or a guest to your appointmentAsk first. The answer depends on the room, not on the studio's manners.
  • Running late: what to doMessage the studio the moment you know, not when you arrive.
  • The studio has not confirmed my request yetWhat a pending request means, and how long to leave it.
  • How far ahead can I book? Each studio sets its own window, at both ends.
  • Booking more than one service in a rowAdd them to one booking so the studio gets the time right.
  • What is a consultation appointment?A short conversation before a big service. Book one when in doubt.
  • Recurring and standing appointmentsHow to keep the same slot without booking it every time.
  • Booking at a studio with more than one locationCheck the address on the confirmation, every time.
  • Adding an appointment to your calendarYour own calendar, alongside the studio's reminders.

  • Who can see my Beauty Passport? You decide. Nothing is shared by default.
  • Exporting or deleting your dataHow to take your data with you, or remove it.
  • Stopping emails and textsHow to turn off marketing without losing appointment reminders.

Your account and privacy

  • Changing the email address on your accountChange it in your account settings, and confirm the new address.
  • I forgot my passwordReset it from the sign-in page.
  • Merging two accounts made with different emailsThere is no self-service merge. Contact us with both addresses.
  • Household: booking for family membersOne account per person, because a Beauty Passport is personal.
  • Blocking or reporting a studioTwo different actions. Reporting is the one that reaches us.
  • What information a studio can see about youThe studios you book with see their own history with you, not everybody's.
  • Turning off a studio's marketing without leaving themMarketing and appointment messages are separate switches.
  • Is my data secure? What we hold, how it is protected, and the part that is up to you.

Guides

Daily use

Studio owner or admin

  1. Open Business Dashboard to review the studio workspace.
  2. Use Appointments for appointment details and Clients to find client records.
  3. Use Services, Team, and the relevant Settings pages when the service menu, provider setup, hours, forms, reminders, booking rules, or workspace details change.
  4. Review Messages, Announcements, and Reviews when those studio features are enabled.
  5. Use Store and its orders, products, gift cards, and point-of-sale pages for retail, which is included with the subscription.

Provider

  1. Review assigned appointments and open an appointment record before service.
  2. Keep provider services, weekly hours, and public profile current through the linked settings pages.
  3. Use Clients only for clients available to the signed-in workspace role.
  4. Use Messages when messaging is enabled.

Client

  1. Use Explore or Booking to find a studio, service, provider, and available time.
  2. Review the studio's booking terms before checkout.

Every studio here is its own business, with its own prices, hours and policies. That shapes most of the answers above, particularly anything about money, where the studio you booked with is the one who can act.

Where does a new studio begin?

Create the studio, then use Setup. The checklist links to studio details, service menu, weekly hours, payouts, booking rules, client features, branding, reminders, forms, provider profile, team, and clients as applicable.

Does setup finish every task automatically?

No. Some tasks detect saved product data. Others use saved Mark done or Skip state. Refresh after saving the linked setting if a detected task appears stale.

Is connecting payouts the same as accepting live charges?

No. A connected account can exist before charges are enabled, and test-mode completion is not live-money approval.

How is a custom app address verified?

Current Help guidance uses an A record for a root domain or a CNAME for a subdomain. DNS propagation and certificate/deployment checks must finish before the hostname is resolved.

Who controls cancellation, refund, and retail policies?

The studio controls its applicable booking, cancellation, refund, and retail terms. Start transaction-specific questions with the studio on the record.

Where should a problem be reported?

Use Support. Include the page, device, browser, approximate time, and reproducible steps. Never include passwords or full card details.

How do booking text updates work?

The public /support#text-updates form records explicit website SMS consent. Enter a US mobile number and actively select the separate, unchecked-by-default consent box. The disclosure identifies Friday Scheduling by Cre84ever Media LLC, lists booking-related message types, states that message frequency varies, warns about possible message/data charges, says consent is not required to book or buy, and includes HELP and STOP instructions plus links to Terms and Privacy. SMS delivery remains inactive until the provider, budget, A2P registration, and production STOP/HELP workflow are approved.

Feature presence does not mean every studio has it enabled. Studio configuration, entitlements, role checks, and record scope apply.

The SMS form records explicit website consent for booking-related text updates after the visitor enters a US mobile number and actively checks the separate, unchecked-by-default consent box. The public disclosure identifies Friday Scheduling by Cre84ever Media LLC, names the booking-update message types, states that message frequency varies, warns that message and data rates may apply, says consent is not a condition of purchase, and includes HELP and STOP instructions. The consent record does not itself activate delivery. Friday Scheduling reminder delivery remains email plus optional push until the SMS provider, budget, US A2P registration, and production STOP/HELP handling are approved.

    Getting started

    Studio owner

    1. Sign in with a studio-owner account.
    2. If asked for an account type, choose the studio path. The current creation screen is titled Create your studio.
    3. Enter Studio name, choose What kind of business is it?, then select Create studio and continue.
    4. Friday Scheduling creates starter services and weekly hours and pages to Setup. Review those defaults before accepting bookings.

The first result is a role-aware checklist. It saves progress and allows tasks in any order.

    Provider

Open Setup. The provider checklist asks you to choose services, set weekly hours, introduce yourself, and optionally sync a calendar. Studio invitation and workspace assignment determine access.

    Client

Use Explore or Booking to choose a studio. The client setup flow links to My Beauty Passport, Booking, and the install guide. Add only the hair, skin, allergy, and preference details you choose to keep and share.

To book, open Booking, choose a service, provider, and available time, then review the studio's terms. Each studio controls its services, availability, cancellation, refund, and retail policies.

    Help

Open Help for FAQs or Support for contact and issue-report guidance. A bug report should include the page, device, browser, approximate time, and steps. Never include passwords or full card details.

Manual verification remains required with clean owner, provider, and client accounts.

    Initial setup

    Studio

Open Setup. Current groups appear in this order: Essentials, Payments and booking, Brand and app, Client experience, then Team and clients. You can work in another order.

    1. Complete Studio details, Review your service menu, and Set your weekly hours.
    2. Use Connect payouts and Booking rules and deposits.
    3. Choose client-facing features and, optionally, branding and an app address.
    4. Configure reminders, forms, and the provider profile when shown.
    5. Invite providers, bring in clients, and share the booking address when applicable.

Some tasks detect saved product data. Others require Mark done or Skip. Skip setup for now leaves the page available; Do not show this again stores a dismissal preference.

    Provider

Complete Choose the services you perform, Set your weekly hours, and Introduce yourself. Sync your calendar is optional. Services, availability rules, a saved bio, and an appointment-feed token are the current detected states.

    Client

Complete Start your Beauty Passport at Profile and Book your first appointment on the Booking page. Install the app on your phone at Install is optional and is not automatically detected in current source.

    App address and verification

Current Help says to use an A record for a root domain or CNAME for a subdomain. DNS and certificates must verify before Friday Scheduling marks the hostname resolved. Production DNS, live payments, branded deployment, and physical-device acceptance remain manual release actions.

    • Provider and client setup
    Known issues

This is a documentation-stage list, not a claim that every item is a production defect.

    • Setup does not detect every task automatically. Services, hours, feature choices, client invitations, and app installation can require saved manual state.
    • The current studio checklist intentionally omits retail setup, prepaid packages, and reviews/reputation work.
    • A payout account may be started without charges enabled.
    • Personal accounts leave Setup; the destination depends on account role.
    • A custom hostname remains unresolved until external DNS and certificate checks finish.
    • Services priced below $0.50 do not have a supported no-payment completion path; checkout now shows a clear contact-the-studio error, but the product rule still requires a decision and implementation.
    • The public SMS form records explicit website opt-in evidence, but Friday Scheduling does not send SMS yet. Provider selection, US A2P registration, inbound STOP/HELP handling, and production delivery acceptance remain open.

Locally verified on 2026-08-08: disposable studio-owner/client sign-in, provider-route denial, service create/edit/disable, a client booking through direct Cash App confirmation, provider booking visibility, and provider/client messaging. The local optimized HTTP server produced an unresolved Server Components digest during fixture sign-in, so production-like HTTPS sign-in still requires acceptance.

Still unverified in the required browser depth: concurrent two-client booking conflict, cancellation/reschedule UI, failed Stripe payment and refund UI, appointment completion, public-profile cross-business routing, subscription/trial write gates, staff-role boundaries, and WebKit/Firefox/mobile flows. Live payment, notification delivery, domain, branded deployment, and physical-device acceptance also remain external/manual gates. Report mismatches through Support with privacy-safe evidence.

    Release notes

    2026-08-22 (Media delivery cost controls)

    • Marketplace, directory, provider, product, and saved-item grid images now request Supabase transformed image URLs from the existing public media object instead of probing for a .thumb.webp sibling that may not exist.
    • If image transformations are unavailable, cards still fall back to the original public image rather than showing a broken tile.

2026-08-17 (Menu categories, appointment requests, setup flexibility)

    • Group your menu into categories. Services now have a Category field — type whatever you already call that part of your menu ("Colour", "Braids", "Barbering") and it becomes a heading on your service menu and on your public booking page. Suggestions come from categories you have used before, and you can invent a new one just by typing it. Services without a category list last under "Other services", and if you categorise nothing, nothing changes.

    • A description when you add a service, not only when you edit one. The add-service form now has the same description box the edit screen already had.

    • The waitlist is now "Request an appointment". Clients asking for a time that is not on the calendar can leave a phone number and a short message, and you get told when a request comes in — a note in that client's message thread and a push notification. Requests show the message and a tap-to-call number. Nothing about the existing claim-an-offer flow changed.

    • Filter the marketplace by location. Explore has a place filter next to the category chips. It combines with search and category rather than replacing them.

    • Basic Setup. A fourth, shortest setup path: your name, what you do, and your branding — everything else whenever you like. Booking method, new-client preference and payment preference can now be skipped on any path and picked up from your setup checklist later.

    • Jump between setup sections on your phone. The section navigation used to appear only on Complete Setup and only on a desktop screen. It is now on every path, at every size.

    • Your banner is called your banner. The booking page editor now says so, instead of leaving you to work out that "images" meant the banner.

    • A proper booking page before you have customised anything. A studio that has not built its own page now gets a designed one — your cover photo, name, what you do, where you are, and your services as cards — rather than a plain list. If you have already customised your page, it is untouched.

    • Cash App and Venmo just ask for your handle. Enter your $cashtag or Venmo username and we build the payment link. You can still paste your own link if you have a reason to.

    • Being listed and how your page looks are separate. Both settings screens now say so, and link to each other.

    • A page that explains Friday Scheduling to professionals. "For professionals" links on Explore now go somewhere that describes the product before asking anyone to sign up.

    • Left-edge accent stripes have been removed from cards and panels.

    2026-08-16 (Launch-readiness fixes)

Services, Clients and Retail were crashing when you opened them. They work again. The cause was internal, not anything you did or any data you entered.

    Other changes you will notice:

    • Every screen shows its own name again. The green bar at the top carries your business name; the page name now sits just underneath it, so Automations, Packages, Forms and Campaigns are no longer indistinguishable at a glance.
    • One place to create things. The green "add" button for a page now sits in the top bar on every screen that has one - new package, new form, new announcement, new campaign, add service, add client, add product. It used to be a wide, blank-looking button in the middle of the page, and on Campaigns its icon was invisible. On Packages it was hidden inside a collapsed section, so it could not be found at all without expanding one first.
    • Settings pages open ready to use. A settings page with only one or two sections no longer lands you on a screen of collapsed rows. Booking and payments, which genuinely has eight sections, still collapses them.
    • Appointment forms. Download template and Upload filled template are now at the top of the page instead of buried inside the "Create a form" section.
    • Packages (client view). Has a back button, and its empty states now tell you what to do next instead of stating a bare fact.
    • Provider profiles. Service duration and category sit under the service name rather than jammed against it; prices are green on every profile, including branded ones where they previously came out red; an empty gallery tile no longer appears; and internal demo text no longer shows on public profiles.
    • Explore. Studios without a real venue photo are no longer featured in the top rail - they still appear in the full directory. Popular services leads with services that have photographs.
    • Small text. Several hints, notes and empty-state lines were below a readable size and have been raised.

2026-08-15 (Friday Scheduling is for independent providers)

Friday Scheduling is now built for one independent provider running their own business, on a single $19.99 plan with everything included. If you worked here as a team, this is a real change to what the app does, so it is worth reading in full.

What is gone, and what to do instead:

    • Team management, team schedules, and the rota. A business now has one provider: you. Your own hours and availability are unchanged and still live under Provider setup. If you work alongside other people, each of you now runs your own Friday Scheduling rather than sharing one.
    • Booth rent, timecards, and the time clock. These existed to run other people working under your business. Rent you collect or pay is a bookkeeping matter now, not something Friday Scheduling tracks.
    • Commissions. Service and retail commission splits assumed someone else performed or sold. Your own takings appear in analytics and payouts as before.
    • Retail: collections, discounts, inventory, purchase orders, and loyalty. Retail is now a straightforward catalog you can run single-handed: products, storefront, bag, checkout, orders, POS, and gift cards. Retail is also included in the subscription rather than sold as an add-on.
    • Data import. Bringing records in from another system needed setup and supervision that did not fit a solo product. Existing data is untouched.
    • The AI receptionist. Enquiries come to your inbox and booking page as normal.
    • Stripe Terminal card readers. Tap to Pay on your phone stays, which is what a provider without a front desk actually reaches for.
    • The branded native-app upsell. Your own branding, domain, and booking page are unchanged and still yours.

Nothing you have booked, sold, or recorded was deleted by this change.

    2026-08-14 (app sync banner)

    • Fixed the "Sync needs attention" message that could appear at the bottom of the iOS and Android app when nothing was actually wrong with your data. It showed whenever the app's sign-in had expired: the app asked for fresh data, was sent to the login screen instead, and reported that as a sync problem. A signed-out app now simply signs you back in rather than raising a warning.
    • Nothing was ever stuck or unsaved when that message appeared. Genuinely waiting changes and conflicts have always had their own wording, and still do.
    • Signing in with Apple from the app was affected by the same cause and is fixed with it.

    2026-08-14 (household and payment reliability)

    • A household now provably holds one membership per person, enforced by the database rather than by the invitation step alone. If a second live membership had ever been created, the household screen would have told that person they were not in a household at all -- while looking at the one they own. Children and other dependents are unaffected, and someone who left a household can still rejoin it.
    • The duplicate check when uploading payment evidence no longer fails in the one case it exists to catch: the same image submitted against two different payment attempts in the same business.

    2026-08-14 (public studio page addresses)

    • Fixed public studio pages that would not open. Every studio created by Friday Scheduling was given the same web address behind the scenes, so /studio/... could not tell those studios apart and showed "not found" instead of the studio.
    • Studio web addresses are now unique across Friday Scheduling, and the database enforces it, so two studios can no longer end up sharing one.
    • Where studios were sharing an address, the studio that had it first keeps it and the others move to an address based on their own studio name -- for example a studio named Glow Bar Chicago becomes /studio/glow-bar-chicago. Only addresses that were already failing to open have changed; any studio page that worked before keeps exactly the address it had.
    • Newly created studios now get their own address from the moment they are set up, rather than sharing a placeholder one.

    2026-08-11 (SMS consent wording alignment)

    • Updated the public Friday Scheduling SMS consent wording so the live support and booking opt-ins now identify Friday Scheduling by Cre84ever Media LLC as the sending business.
    • Expanded the booking and embedded booking SMS opt-ins to include variable-frequency language, message-and-data-rate disclosure, HELP and STOP instructions, and the statement that consent is not a condition of purchase.

    2026-08-11 (documentation expansion)

    • Added focused Learning guides for studio-owner setup, provider and client setup, booking flow, and studio support operations, and linked them from the Friday Scheduling hub docs.

    2026-08-10 (HQ support launcher)

    • Added the shared HQ support launcher and support-thread forwarding pages. The launcher remains hidden until Friday Scheduling has approved, published, AI-eligible Learning content, and customer-visible answers are still source-gated by HQ.

    2026-08-10 (certification and native QA)

    • Fixed a critical accessibility issue on Explore where studio cards were inside an ARIA list without list-item semantics.
    • Kept the sign-up form compatible with durable form-field checks by naming the full name, email, and password inputs.
    • Updated the public shop quality check so an empty public catalog is treated as the customer-facing empty state, while still requiring customer controls when products are present.
    • Restored the iOS simulator build for the Friday Scheduling native wrapper by updating the Tap to Pay Stripe Terminal Swift package reference and current SDK calls. Physical iPhone install remains blocked until an Apple development team is selected in Xcode.
    • Certification remains NOT YET CERTIFIED; see docs/fridayscheduling/FRIDAYSCHEDULING_FUNCTIONAL_CERTIFICATION_REPORT_2026-08-10.md.

2026-08-09 (marketplace, feed, and settings polish)

    • Featured studios now rotate daily like featured providers instead of always showing the first studios in the directory.
    • Opened feed posts now settle to the nearest post after a swipe, and the close icon no longer carries the bulky circular background.
    • The logged-out marketplace header now uses the dark green professional-card colour while keeping the page footer area white.
    • Renamed Rota to Team schedule in the settings hub and clarified that it is the dated shift planner. The schedule inputs now resize cleanly on small screens.
    • Settings detail pages now keep a back-to-settings/profile path where needed, including desktop where the mobile header is hidden.

    2026-08-09 (calendar credential security)

    • Friday Scheduling calendar credentials now use the shared integrations credential envelope instead of product-local encryption code. The user-visible calendar setup flow is unchanged, but credential handling now follows the same platform package used by LynxProfile integrations.
    • Declared the shared integrations package in the Friday Scheduling app manifest and build transpilation list so calendar sync continues to build consistently.

    2026-08-08 (release integrity)

    • Internal deployment safeguard with no visible product change. Production builds now carry their exact source commit, stale local build output is refused, and automated release checks can detect when an older deployment remains live.
    • Kept the generated release-identity document public so deployment verification is not redirected to sign-in.

2026-08-07 (getting found, and a front desk)

Everything below is off until you turn it on, and none of it costs you or your client a booking fee.

    • Put booking on your own website. Settings → Booking page now gives you a snippet to paste into your site. Your clients pick a service and request a time without leaving your page, and it resizes itself so there is never a scrollbar inside your layout. There is a second snippet for site builders that strip scripts, and a live preview of exactly what a visitor sees.
    • A page for your studio. Your studio now has a public page of its own at /studio/<your-slug> — your services, your team, your locations and your reviews in one place — and search engines can now read your opening hours, address, prices and rating properly. Studio cards in the directory lead there instead of to whichever team member happened to be listed first.
    • Clients can search for you. The new directory at Discover finds studios by area, by category and by the name of a service, and there are pages for each city and category. You choose whether you appear, in Settings → Getting found. Turning it off removes you immediately; your own booking page and website keep working either way.
    • Instagram and Facebook links that tell you what worked. Settings → Getting found generates a link for each place you put one, with step-by-step instructions per platform, and shows how many bookings each has brought in. You can label a placement — "mirror QR code" — so a code on the mirror and one on a flyer report separately.
    • Reserve with Google. You can opt in now. Your services, hours and open times are published to Google, and a booking made there lands on your calendar like any other, with your reminders and your cancellation policy. Google's own approval of Friday Scheduling as a partner is still in progress; your studio is queued and goes live when that finishes, with nothing further to do at your end.
    • Connect your own calendar. On your hours page you can now connect Google Calendar or Outlook. Your appointments appear there, and anything you are busy with there closes that time in Friday Scheduling so nobody can book over it. Client first names only, no calendar reminders (Friday Scheduling already sends those), and you choose which of your calendars to take busy time from. It does not show what you are busy with unless you ask it to. Disconnecting removes the events and the blocked time. The existing calendar feed still works and still needs no account.

    2026-08-06 (documentation)

    • No change to the app. Internal code comments pointed at specification files using a short path that did not resolve from where they were written, so anyone following the reference found nothing. The references now carry the full path. Nothing about how Friday Scheduling looks or behaves is affected.

    2026-08-06 (feed)

    • Tap any photo in the Style feed or any post in the Community feed to open it larger. It fills the space between the top bar and the bottom tabs rather than taking over the screen, so you can still move between tabs without closing it.
    • Once open, swipe through the rest of that feed without going back: sideways in the Style feed, up and down in the Community feed. Arrow keys do the same on a computer, and Escape closes.
    • Videos now start playing on their own while they are on screen and stop when you scroll past. They start silent — tap an opened video to turn sound on. Videos inside a multi-photo post used to sit still on their first frame; they play now too.

    2026-08-06 (reliability)

    • Internal reliability change with no visible difference in the app. Screens that load lists previously could not tell a failed database read apart from a genuinely empty result, so a fault could look like "nothing here yet". Those reads now record the failure in the server logs. What you see on screen is unchanged; the difference is that a real fault can be found and fixed instead of being mistaken for empty data.

    2026-08-06 (shared guides)

    • The Help Center's guides now come from the shared documentation library used by every product, so they look and behave the same everywhere.

    2026-08-06 (Help Center)

    • The Help Center now shows published guides from the shared documentation library, below the existing start-here and FAQ sections. Nothing appears until a guide has been approved and published, and the existing help text stays either way.

    2026-08-06

    • Fixed: several studio settings did not stick the first time they were saved if the studio had never saved any other setting. Affected how your studio gets paid, booking approval, retail commission, cancellation policy, cancellation protection, the booking window, and reminder settings. All now save on the first attempt.

    2026-08-05 (evening)

    • Setup now asks how your studio gets paid: whether each provider is paid directly and files their own taxes, or the studio is paid and pays the team. It affects tax reporting, so it is asked rather than assumed, and you can change it under Settings, Booking and payments.
    • Providers can add a short introduction video to their profile. MP4 or WebM, up to 50 MB and 90 seconds, with a transcript so it is usable with the sound off. Nothing is converted, so upload a file that already plays in a browser.
    • Every video is checked before it appears. It never plays by itself and never starts with sound.
    • Anyone signed in can report a video. Reports are private, one per person, and a video with several reports comes down for re-checking on its own.
    • Replacing a video sends the new one back for checking, and you can take your own video down at any time.

    2026-08-05 (later)

    • Provider profiles now show what a provider has told clients about their work — qualifications, who they work with, where they work, accessibility and languages — grouped, and each entry labelled with whether it is something they told us or something that has been checked.
    • Prepaid packages can now be limited to specific providers. Clients see who a package covers before they buy it, alongside whether unused visits can be passed on and the studio's refund policy.
    • Changing who a package covers affects new purchases only. Anyone who already bought it keeps exactly what they were sold.
    • Studios can record a refund policy and mark a package transferable under Settings, Prepaid packages.

    2026-08-05

    • Added search filters on Explore. Providers can now be filtered by what they work with, their qualifications, where they work, accessibility and environment, and the languages they speak. Selecting two filters means both, not either.
    • Every attribute a client sees is labelled with where it came from. A detail a provider told us reads "Provider-reported"; only a detail somebody has checked reads "Verified". Providers cannot mark their own details verified.
    • Added the provider control for those details under Settings, My profile.
    • Added a "For you" card near the top of Explore and a dedicated page behind "View all". It shows one thing at a time, always with the reason it is being shown, and dismissing an item removes that item rather than muting the whole category.
    • The first two suggestions are live: a reminder when a visit fits the rhythm a studio recorded, and a warning when prepaid package sessions are going unused before they expire. Neither is sent to anybody who already has an appointment booked or whose credit has already expired.
    • Added creating a household and inviting people to it. An invitation is a link the owner shares, usable only by the address it was sent to, and it expires after fourteen days. Only the household owner can invite or remove people.
    • Being in a household still shares nothing about anybody's appointments, notes or preferences. It grants booking and, if the owner allows it, spending up to a limit they set.
    • Added memberships clients can join, and the studio controls for defining them. Every membership states its price, what is included, whether unused credit carries over, and what cancelling does — before anybody pays. Cancelling keeps the benefits until the end of the period already paid for.

    2026-08-08

    • Added a public, mobile-responsive SMS booking-update opt-in form on Support for Twilio campaign compliance, with a separate unchecked consent box, message-purpose and frequency copy, message/data-rate disclosure, HELP/STOP instructions, public Terms/Privacy links, server validation, layered rate limiting, an append-only consent-evidence ledger, and a deployment-ready proof screenshot. SMS delivery remains inactive pending provider and A2P approval.
    • Added a local-only Chromium functional-certification suite covering provider/client authentication boundaries, service management, booking checkout, direct-payment confirmation, duplicate submission protection, provider booking visibility, and two-way messaging.
    • Fixed the service-creation dialog so a successful save closes cleanly instead of remaining in a pending state.
    • Fixed the SMS consent module boundary so the public opt-in form and account screens compile into a production build without exposing server-only database code to the browser. User-visible consent behavior is unchanged.
    • Fixed booking checkout payment-method loading so it no longer invokes a Server Action from an effect and repeatedly remounts the checkout surface; eligibility is now derived from the authenticated booking hold instead of client-supplied price/provider fields.
    • Hardened payment initiation so a booking hold is usable only by its client, a studio member with booking-management permission, or the assigned provider.
    • Updated the PWA media regression check to validate the currently shipped hero video and poster.
    • Certification remains NOT YET CERTIFIED because several required P0 browser workflows and production-like sign-in acceptance remain incomplete; see docs/fridayscheduling/FRIDAYSCHEDULING_FUNCTIONAL_CERTIFICATION_REPORT_2026-08-08.md.

    2026-08-04

    • Added the shared iOS runtime for appointment notifications, calendar actions, branded Wallet pass requests, QR check-in, media capture, offline drafts, widgets, App Intents, and Beauty Passport privacy.
    • Connected native bootstrap and replay pages to existing Friday Scheduling user, provider, organization, appointment, and payment authority.
    • APNs delivery, Wallet signing, role-based device flows, and physical-device biometric/camera acceptance remain release gates.

    2026-07-31

    • Added client-directory search.
    • Hardened white-label subdomain uniqueness so two studios cannot claim the same subdomain.

    2026-07-27 through 2026-07-30

    • Added and refined the role-aware, dismissible setup checklist.
    • Added inline setup-task editing and improved setup order and return navigation.
    • Unified role setup flows and added account deletion controls.
    • Added page loading/error handling and mobile setup polish.

    2026-07-26 through 2026-07-29

    • Expanded signed-in discovery and feed behavior, provider/service presentation, studio sharing, and featured-studio controls.
    • Expanded retail operations with collections, order/product management, tax, POS discounts, barcode scanning, gift cards, purchase orders, commissions, inventory controls, loyalty, reviews, recommendations, and customer segments.
    • Corrected review purchase scoping and product-review style isolation.

See the Friday Scheduling launch and implementation ledgers under docs/fridayscheduling/ for validation gates and remaining founder-controlled launch work.

    2026-08-10

    • Expanded the local functional certification suite to cover public discovery, provider profile visibility, client retail cart and checkout review, provider appointment completion/cancellation, and client appointment cancellation with cross-client isolation checks.
    • Fixed message inbox/thread pages so signed-in conversations always render fresh server state after a reply.
    • Added stable appointment identifiers to provider and client appointment cards so certification and support tooling can target a specific appointment without relying on client names or times.
    • Fixed the local discovery SQL certification fixture so it scopes conversion assertions to its own disposable sessions.
    Roles

    Studio owner and studio admin

Studio administration paths cover studio identity, services, hours, booking/payment settings, team, clients, forms, reminders, provider profile, feature choices, branding, and domains. Sensitive operations remain subject to server authorization and studio scope.

    Provider

The provider setup path covers performed services, weekly hours, a public introduction/profile, and optional calendar sync. Provider access is determined by studio invitation and workspace assignment; it is not equivalent to studio administration.

    Client

The personal client path covers discovery, booking, Beauty Passport data, install guidance, and client-facing features enabled by a studio. Clients do not receive studio administration access.

Personal account without the client path

Current setup routing distinguishes personal clients from other personal accounts: clients page to Explore, while other personal accounts page to Start.

Always test with clean accounts for each role before publication. Do not treat visibility of a link as proof that an underlying action is authorized.

    Troubleshooting

    Setup redirects elsewhere

Unauthenticated requests go to Login. A personal client goes to Explore; another personal account goes to Start. Studio members with admin workspace access receive studio setup, while provider-only members receive provider setup. If that does not match the intended role, report the account email and studio name without sending a password.

    A task does not complete

Some tasks use detected saved data and others use Mark done. Refresh after saving the linked settings. If it remains stale, report the task name, page, approximate time, and what was saved.

    Payout setup is unfinished

A payment account can be started without charges enabled. Return to Booking & payments and finish connected-account onboarding. Test-mode completion is not live-payment approval.

    Domain is not resolved

Check root-versus-subdomain record type, provider propagation, and deployment certificate status. Production DNS changes require the domain owner's approval.

Booking, refund, account, or safety issue

Start booking/payment/refund questions with the studio on the record. For suspected access, payment misuse, harassment, or exposed private information, email support@cre84ever.com with Urgent in the subject. For immediate physical danger, contact local emergency services. Never send passwords or full card details.

  • A front-desk tablet. Add one in Settings → Rooms and equipment and pair it with a code. Clients type their name or number and check themselves in; you get a notification, and anything they still need to sign appears there and then. There is also a display mode showing the day with who has arrived. The tablet can never reach your client list, your takings or your settings, and leaving kiosk mode needs your PIN.
