Almost every decline is one of a small number of things:
- The billing postcode or ZIP does not match what your bank has on file
- The card has expired, or the number was mistyped by one digit
- Your bank blocked it as unusual — a new merchant often triggers this
- There are insufficient funds, including a pending hold you had forgotten about
Try the card again after checking the billing address, or use a different one. If it keeps failing, your bank can tell you exactly why in a way the decline message cannot — merchants only ever see a generic code.
If you cannot get a card through at all, ask the studio whether they take another method. Many accept cash or a payment app.
