The price on a booking page is the studio's price for that service as they have listed it. A different figure at the end of the appointment usually has one of a few ordinary explanations:
- The service changed while you were in the chair — extra length, extra product, a second colour, a repair that was not in the original booking
- The listing is a starting price, described as 'from', and the final figure depends on your hair or your nails
- Sales tax was added at the till and the listed price was before tax
- A deposit you already paid was deducted, so the amount taken at the end is the balance rather than the whole price
Any of those should have been said out loud before the work started. A good studio quotes a change while you can still say no.
If none of them fit, raise it with the studio first and in writing, through the booking's message thread. They set the price and they took the payment, so they are the only party who can adjust it. If the listing itself is wrong or misleading, report it to us — the listing is on our platform, and that part we can act on.
